Brown 1/2 lb feef and 1 clove garlic
Mix 1 cup ricotta cheese, 4 oz. shredded mozzarella cheeses, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 cup mayo in a bowl Add cooked beef to bowl Cook manicotti noddles per box Fill each noodle Place in buttered baking dish and cover with 16 oz. spagetti sauce (I use Ragu and dress it up...) Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 15 mins...remove foil and bake 15mins |

1 2# Ragu traditional spaghetti sauce 1 pinch Oregano 2# ground meat 1 egg, raw 1 16oz carton Cottage cheese 1 can Parmesan/Romano cheese 1 16oz carton cottage cheese 1 6cup package Mozzarella cheese Add a pinch or 2 or Oregano to spaghetti sauce Simmer the tomato sauce 1hr for best results Brown and drain the ground meat Mix sauce and meat While waiting on sauce, Cook lasagna noodles; drain; set in cool water Beat 1 egg slightly; add to cottage cheese Add 1 cup Parm/Romano to cottage cheese mixture When sauce is smelling real good, get set! Starting with noodles, layer in baking dish Cottage cheese mixture goes on top of noodles Meat sauce goes on top of that Continue to layer to almost top of baking dish If preparing to serve immediately (within 1 hr), crumble mozzarella cheese evenly on top Cover lasagna in aluminum foil Bake 1hr at 350degrees F Can be frozen indefinitely If preparing to serve much later, freeze or refrigerate. 1hr prior to serving, crumble mozzarella cheese evenly on top of defrosted lasagna dish Bake 45min at 350degrees F, covered Serve hot, with foccacia or garlic bread |
